Art in the Library: Featured Artist
Click for larger image. Encaustic and fiber art pieces by Susan Crouse-Kemp were on
display at the FL Library through the end of July. Susan is a Colorado native
trained as a commercial artist. She has worked as a computer animator
and in product development for the professional television and
multi-media marketplace.
Encaustic painting involves manipulating hot colored wax on a surface such as wood or canvas using various tools to create either abstract or representational images. Susan’s colorful fiber art pieces involve quilting, piecing, and painting. Her website shows more work.
